Maple Drop User Agreement

Welcome to Maple Drop (hereinafter referred to as "the App"). This Agreement is a legal agreement between you (hereinafter referred to as "User") and Hangzhou Shuling Technology Co., Ltd. (Registered Address: Room 405-1, Building B4, No. 2 Shuyun Road, Yuhang Street, Yuhang District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province) (hereinafter referred to as "we", "us", or "our") regarding your download, installation, and use of the App.

Before you start using the App, please read and fully understand the terms of this Agreement carefully. By clicking "Agree" or continuing to use the App, you are deemed to have read and accepted all the terms of this Agreement.

1. Service Description

Maple Drop is an open-source cross-platform file transfer tool designed to provide an AirDrop-like cross-device experience. The App supports sending and receiving files, text, and folders over a local area network or via P2P technology.

2. User Code of Conduct

When using the App, you should comply with local laws and regulations and promise:

• Not to use the App to transmit any illegal, infringing, obscene, threatening, or defamatory content;
• Not to spread viruses, malicious code, or engage in any behavior that may damage network security through the App;
• Not to reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the App (unless permitted by law or authorized by the open-source license);
• You bear full legal responsibility for all files and content transmitted through the App.

3. Intellectual Property

The App and its related source code are distributed under specified open-source licenses. Unless otherwise provided by the open-source license, the App's trademarks, logos, UI design, and related proprietary technologies belong to the Shuling Team. You do not obtain any transfer or license of these rights during use.

4. Privacy Protection

We value your privacy. Maple Drop is designed to protect user privacy. We promise not to actively collect, store, or upload your personal identity information or the content of the files you transfer. For details, please refer to our Privacy Policy.

5. Disclaimer

Please understand and agree:

• The App is provided "as is" without any express or implied warranties of any kind;
• We do not guarantee that the service will not be interrupted, nor do we guarantee the absolute security of transmission (affected by third-party factors such as network environment and hardware equipment);
• We are not legally responsible for data loss, equipment damage, or any indirect losses caused by using the App;
• As a transmission tool, the App is not responsible for the legality and accuracy of the transmitted content.

6. Modification of the Agreement

We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time based on changes in laws and regulations or business needs. The modified Agreement will become effective once published within the App. If you continue to use the App, you are deemed to accept the modified Agreement.

7. Termination of Service

If you violate this Agreement, we have the right to limit, suspend, or terminate your access to the App at any time without prior notice.

8. Governing Law

The conclusion, execution, interpretation, and dispute resolution of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the People's Republic of China. If both parties have any dispute regarding the content or execution of this Agreement, both parties should try to resolve it through friendly negotiation; if the negotiation fails, either party may file a lawsuit with the people's court having jurisdiction in the developer's location.
